Minicat
SAILING CATAMARAN
Arctic Air Expedition 2024 will be taking co-developed prototype packable expedition sailing catamarans with us to journey our way through the ice-filled fjords of Greenland. Minicats enable us to venture where other crafts cannot. Making it possible for us to haul them over ice sheets if required, to shift them to the remotest of locations by helicopter, and to navigate in between the flux of floating ice. These Minicats will be a vital (and exciting) component for moving ourselves - with all our abundance of kit - along the routes taken by BAARE themselves.
Valley Sea Kayaks
Arctic Air Expedition 2024 will be taking specially made and limited edition “Gino Watkins “ Anas Acuta kayaks with us to East Greenland that can be easily carried aboard the catamarans and used for deeper exploration into the fjords and areas that Watkins and other BAARE members explored by kayak.
